A health check or health screening can identify early health problems, and detect risk factors for certain diseases. When you have a health check, your doctor will talk to you about your medical history, your family history of disease and your lifestyle, including your diet, weight, physical activity, alcohol use and whether you smoke
It is essentially a check-up of your overall health. It can tell you whether you’re at higher risk of getting certain health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease or stroke. We can also add a hormonal health check and speak to you about cancer screening.
Your doctor will ask you some questions about your lifestyle and family history, then measure your height and weight, and take your blood pressure and do a blood test.
All our health checks are carried out by an experienced doctor who will be able to advise you on issues ranging from lifestyle, family history, risk factors and general medical advice.
Please book a convenient appointment at the clinic of your choice. During your consultation, your doctor will discuss your health, examine you and arrange to take a blood sample.
We offer 3 levels of health screening
Bronze
This health screening can detect early signs of illness, and risk factors of certain health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease or stroke
Silver
This health screening can detect early signs of illness, and risk factors of certain health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease or stroke. In addition, this package includes a hormonal health check
Gold
This health screening can detect early signs of illness, and risk factors of certain health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease or stroke. This package also includes screening for early signs of certain cancers.
Platinum
This health screening can detect early signs of illness, and risk factors of certain health certain health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease or stroke. This package also includes a hormonal health check plus screening for early signs of certain cancers.
Book a follow up consultation to discuss your results in more detail with a doctor. Together with your blood test results, you will receive an explanation as to what the results of your tests mean, and what your doctor recommends you should do next (if anything). Should you require any follow up investigations or treatment your doctor will make these arrangements.
BRONZE HEALTH SCREEN
This popular health screen is recommended to help identify early health issues to prevent chronic disease. This health check includes:

- Mental health/stress review
- BMI Calculation
- Blood pressure check
- Resting Pulse Check
- Urinalysis test
- A core set of tests to identify key health risks:
- Full Blood Count with Iron Studies

SILVER HEALTH SCREEN
Recommend for all ages. This well person screen includes a more extensive assessment, and includes a hormonal health check.

This comprehensive health check includes:

- Urinalysis test
- A core set of tests to identify key health risks:
- Full Blood Count with Iron Studies,
- Liver, Kidney and Thyroid Function Tests,

- Male or Female Hormone Profile Blood Test
Breast or prostate exam and cervical screening, are not included in this well-person check but can be arranged.

GOLD HEALTH SCREEN
Recommended for everyone over 40. This health screen includes a thorough assessment which is designed to identify health risks, and screen for early signs of certain cancers.
Cancer screening is vial, as early detection of cancers can increase the rates of survival. For women, we test for detection of the CA 125 protein in your blood as this may indicate the presence of ovarian cancer. For men, we check your PSA levels as raised levels may indicate the presence of Prostate Cancer.
In addition, we offer the FIT Test which serves to detect minute amounts of blood in the stool that could be an early sign of colon cancer. These tests enable you to increase your chances of early detection and thereby reduce your risk considerably.
