Microneedling
Microneedling is increasingly popular as a minimally invasive yet highly effective skin rejuvenation treatment.
Also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), Microneedling makes use of an innovative device, such as the Dermapen®, to painlessly create micro-channels in the skin. The Dermapen is a surgical instrument with disposable needles used for advanced microneedling treatments. It lightly stamps microscopic channels into the skin to stimulate a healing response. This results in skin renewal, repair and rejuvenation.

Microneedling makes use of an innovative device, such as the Dermapen®, to painlessly create micro-channels in the skin. The skin immediately responds by triggering a healing response and a process of self-repair. This process stimulates cells in the skin to produce collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, which results in skin renewal, repair and rejuvenation. In addition the procedure helps your skin improving absorption of products used during the procedure that are designed to help rejuvenate and repair skin tissue.
This treatments usually results in an immediate plumping effect, as well as smoother, tighter, radiant skin.
Results can be seen after a single treatment, but usually, a course of treatments is recommended.
Results can be enhanced by pre-conditioning the skin. Your doctor will discuss this with you during your consultation. Advice will be given on the use of skin products and in some cases, to increase your intake of vitamin C and zinc for 4 weeks prior to a course of treatment (essential in smokers).
After a consultation with a doctor, a personalised treatment plan will be designed for you. Treatments typically take 45 minutes for the head and neck.
